M100 Tenors don’t let the E drop

T2 make sure coming in at right time starting at 100  ‘twelve drum.. -ELEVEN’ etc

T1 and B1 both have melody @ 104 Bring it out.

Basses watch interval at 100 – 101: B to G# (minor 3rd)  at: nine ladies dancing – 20 ladies dancing

T keep pitch up at 100 to end

Whoever has melody give more body to tone – tell a story

S2 at 4 bring it out. sing through notes

All parts are now doing pickups to 9 and 17

THE PRAYER

Key is F – start on C (the 5th – so)

HAs a tendancy to Slow down, maintain rhythm. Think: “1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1…”

Singing “doo”not ‘ooh’

Legato at beginning… more connected “like paintbrushes”

T M2 – M3 D – Db – Bb – A : sounds unsure, work on this.

Basses – think double bass long strokes

T not high enough on D @ M2

M21 ‘safe”A and T match vowels – look at each other

14 make a ½ note for ATB – cut off before SA come in

T listen to basses to know when to come in… It’s off the beat.  basses have beat are counterpart to altos

“doos “ – match vowel articulation
